“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” — Hebrews 10:24-25
Hey Everyone! James here! Thanks for checking out Grace Chapel! Here’s a few things to know about me...
I’ve been here at Grace since 2010. It’s a great privilege serving as Lead Pastor! We have good people and a seriously incredible staff!
Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of serving in various pastoral capacities: youth, associate and worship. I also spent a part of my life in the working world, both as an employee and as a business owner too.
I love sports and music. I especially enjoy a good round of golf! Music has always been a part of me too. While I can carry a tune and play acoustic guitar, my heart beats best behind a drum kit!
The real passion in my life is my family! My wife Cindy and I have been together for nearly 30 years! How crazy is that! She is a strong woman. A serious Proverbs 31 type: a woman of unshakable faith, strong character, incredible wife and an amazing mother… we truly call her blessed! Our four kids are the joy of our lives. They’re all in college! They never cease to amaze us and continually make us proud! Cindy and I are so grateful for them.
My desire as pastor is to see the church stand strong in today’s world, confident with their faith and following of Jesus!
I look forward to meeting you in person here at Grace!
Sean was raised in environment where the Christian faith was important and, in high school, felt called by God into vocational ministry while attending a Christian youth conference. Since then, Sean has gotten involved in ministry however possible. In college he served as a Student Leader for his chapter of InterVaristy while also leading prayer groups and a Bible study. He volunteered in middle school youth ministry and worship ministry throughout high school, college and beyond. Prior to joining GFC, Sean served as the Middle School Youth Pastor at Princeton Alliance Church for 4 years.
Sean and his wife Suzy (a Colorado native and former missionary) have been happily married for 4 years and are blessed to have one child, Ian McLain who was born in 2015. Suzy is deeply engaged in ministry alongside Sean. In addition to spending time with his family, Sean’s favorite pastimes include baseball, literature, and film.
Sean has a BA in Journalism from The College of New Jersey and is currently finishing up his MA in Intercultural Studies at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY.
Frankie grew up in Rockaway Beach, NY with his mother and two older sisters. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Pillar College and soon will complete a Masters in Global Studies from Liberty University. His wife, Keyla, serves Pillar College full-time as the VP of Institutional Outreach.
Both Frankie and Keyla have passionate hearts for young people and the Church as a whole. Frankie states, “I am passionate about being able to help shape and mold a generation that will become the next group of believers that can shake the world. I firmly believe that God calls even the youngest children to be workers in the Kingdom, and if we can assist in any way, it would be by making ourselves available to teach and disciple our children to lead a life which is pleasing to God.”
With Frankies leading, they will tackle the critical task of developing and building strong Jr. High outreach and discipleship ministries that undergird our current Sr. High ministry while providing depth for the future.
Frankie and Keyla were blessed with a son, Evan, in August of 2013 and are excited about their new ministry work here at Grace.
Tara came to know the Lord at a young age, in her church’s Sunday School program. Knowing first hand the impact Sunday School has had on her life, she is passionate about working to “Train up a child in the way he should go," knowing the promise of God is sure that "...even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Tara has always had a passion for working with and educating children. Upon graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Montclair State University she was hired as a third grade teacher in Short Hills, NJ where she has worked for seven years. While teaching in Short Hills she lead teacher trainings and helped develop district wide curriculum.
Before becoming a public school teacher she worked at New Kids Daycare Center in Belleville, NJ and later at the Montclair State University Children’s Center. Since age 13 she has been a volunteer in various children’s ministries, including a mission trip to an orphanage in Uganda, Africa.
Tara is happily married to John and has been blessed with three children Caleb, Olivia and Leo. She is currently taking time off from teaching to be a stay-at-home mother.
Traci came to know the Lord as her Savior at a young child growing up at Long Hill Chapel in Chatham, NJ. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. For over 25 years, while raising her children, Traci served in her home church in many capacities, such as: Deaconess, Board Member, Church Clerk, Ladies Bible Study Leader, Day Camp Art Director, Little Lambs Christian Nursery School Teacher, AWANA Secretary, and singer on the Worship team.
She has two daughters, Brittany and Rebecca, a son-in-law (Joe), and is thrilled to be a part of Grace Chapel. Traci's desire is to see the love of Jesus shared in our communities and to teach people that the Lord accepts ALL who come to Him with a willing heart.
